Far from the bustling streets of the valley, deep into the forest resides the captivating hill of Champadevi. Elevating at an altitude 2285m, Champadevi hill is one of the famous hiking destinations in the valley. Particularly famous for the birds-eye view of the city and panorama of the Himalayas, the hike to the hill from Pharping is the most refreshing walk that passes through the rich landscape of the region. To commence the journey, early in the morning you will be picked up from your Hotel room and then transferred to Pharping. The drive to Pharping takes around one and a half hours and offers scenic views throughout the journey.
Pharping, the traditional Newari village has plenty of Buddhist monasteries to commemorate the place where Guru Rinpoche meditated and got enlightened. Before beginning the uphill journey to the hill, you will visit the monastery and explore the cave where Guru Rinpoche meditated for years. After exploring the place, you will head on a journey to the hills that takes around 2 hours. The Champadevi hill has a Buddhist shrine and Hindu temple overlooking the majestic sights of the surroundings. Enjoy the beautiful views of mountains and rich landscapes and admire the beauty of nature as you capture the best views on your phone and camera. Spending a couple of hours on the hill, you will descend to Hattiban, where your ride to the hotel will be waiting for you. From Hattiban, you will be transferred back to your hotel room in Kathmandu.
